Memo to Caregivers:
Mountain Plains continues to provide services to you in this period of COVID-19 pandemic. The following changes have been made through the end of April 2021. Please note things continue to be very fluid, and new changes may be implemented with little to no notice.
Mountain Plains office is only open to the public by appointment. You may reach your Support Worker through their dedicated office number or a number they have provided to you.
Before any in person visit, staff are screening to assess the COVID-19 health of the family. Mountain Plains has a responsibility to assess the risks of the visit. We encourage you to do the same of any professionals coming into your home. We will do our best to practice social distancing as per Alberta Health Services guidelines. Mountain Plains’ established pandemic protocol is currently being implemented and includes enhanced measures to disinfect the office, screen visitors, monitor staff/students with symptoms, reinforce health and hygiene protocols and reduce non-essential interactions with the community-at-large.
The best way to ensure your own health is to follow health authority best practices and to stay informed through credible and verified sources such as Alberta Health Services, Health Canada and the World Health Organization.
Mountain Plains is grateful for the selflessness, professionalism and dedication of our families and staff who are continuing to work and provide vital and essential services to our community.
